Irvin-GQ / Saab to supply Emergency Escape Parachutes to the Swedish Air Force - September 2002 |

Irvin-GQ and Swedish company Saab AB have been awarded a contract by the Swedish Air Force for
the upgrade of Emergency Escape Parachute Systems.
180 systems are to be supplied for the Saab SK60, a 2-seat basic trainer currently in service
with the Swedish Air Force and used as a lead-in training aircraft for the Gripen Fighter.
The parachutes will be developed versions of emergency escape assemblies supplied by GQ Parachutes
over many years and will continue a long tradition of collaboration with Saab AB and the Swedish
Air Force.
